Moscow dealers and the official distributor of Volkswagen Group Rus confirmed to Gazeta.Ru that the new Volkswagen Polo liftbacks, which were assembled at the Kaluga plant, had run out in the capital’s car dealerships.
“Volkswagen Polo is over, as an alternative in the same price category, we can offer Kaiyi E5,” said the manager of the Volkswagen dealership in Moscow.
In another Volkswagen dealership in Moscow, instead of Volkswagen Polo, they offer to buy Volkswagen Lavida, which is imported from China to Russia using parallel imports. If you pay in cash, the price will be less than 2 million rubles.

Volkswagen Group Rus also reported that the last Volkswagen Polo assembled in Russia was offered in Moscow for 1.8 million rubles in the Respect configuration with a 1.6-liter 110-horsepower engine and a five-speed manual gearbox.
Volkswagen Polo assembled in Kaluga is still available in Vladimir, Kazan, Magnitogorsk, Orenburg, Sterlitamak. As of May 5, 2023, there are less than 40 such cars left in Russia at a price of 1.8 to 2.4 million rubles.
