Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox Series S will run in dynamic 1080p

Ubisoft recently revealed details of Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and its other games on the Xbox Series X. However, the company bypassed the Xbox Series S – a small, budget, and less powerful next-generation console. Wccftech contacted Ubisoft for information and received a response.

According to Ubisoft Lead Programmer Galvin Whitlock, the highest target resolution in Watch Dogs: Legion on Xbox Series S will be 1080p (dynamic). The developer said nothing about other games.

Whitlock also talked about the implementation of ray-traced reflections on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. According to him, the PC version has an advantage, but only a small one.

“The basics of ray tracing are the same across all platforms that support it. For RTX on PC, we perform ray tracing on rougher surfaces in more situations. Ray tracing is based on a simplified version of the world in which we are tracing raysHere, optimization has taken place individually for each platform to maximize the number of rays that we can process. In general, all versions with ray tracing look the same – only experts will be able to notice the differences when compared side-by-side, ”explained Whitlock.

Additionally, while Ubisoft is partnering with NVIDIA to develop the PC version of Watch Dogs: Legion, ray-traced reflections will work on future AMD Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards.

Watch Dogs: Legion is out now on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions will go on sale on November 10, and the PlayStation 5 version will go on November 12.
