Watch Dogs: Legion source code of 560 GB leaked online
In October, hacker group Egregor said it had gained access to internal files and documentation from Ubisoft and Crytek. Apparently, the burglars weren’t lying. First, they published information about a possible release of remasters of all parts of Crysis, and now they have posted the source code for Watch Dogs: Legion, a new open-world sandbox from Ubisoft.
According to the portal DSOGaming, you can already download the merged files on some torrent trackers. However, everyone who wants to do this will have to be patient, because the source code for Watch Dogs: Legion is 560 GB. It is unlikely to be useful to ordinary users, but modders and hackers will surely pay attention to the leak. The former will be able to find a way to further optimize the game on PC and implement interesting modifications. And the latter will be able to use the source code for hacking Watch Dogs: Legion. According to CrackWatch, the project is DRM-protected by Denuvo and has not yet been released to the public. However, looking at the activity of hackers in recent weeks, the game is likely to appear on torrent trackers soon.
Watch Dogs: Legion was released on October 29, 2020, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. On Metacritic (PC), the game received 76 critical points after 35 reviews. Users put 5.4 points out of 10, 421 people voted.
