With the Airfix service, passengers will be able to enjoy web series, movies, and online shopping even on flights.
AirAsia India has announced a new partnership with hyperlocal cloud platform SugarBox. Under this partnership, passengers will now get a chance to watch free OTT content on AirAsia flights. Air Asia and SugarBox have jointly launched the AirFlix service. Under this service, users will get an opportunity to watch more than 6000 hours of HD content, more than 1000 Hollywood and Bollywood movies, and web content.
What is Airflix?
With the Airflix service, users will be able to experience content without in-flight connectivity i.e. without the internet. This service of Air Asia and Sugarbox is based on the patented cloud. The special thing is that users will not have any problems like buffering in flight while watching the content. Users will get speed up to 1Gbps and 8TB storage. Users will be able to do gaming experiences along with reading news articles on the flight itself. Users will also be able to do online shopping.
It is worth noting that till now the facility of viewing content is available on Air Vistara. But users do not have the option of reading news articles, watching Indian web series, and shopping.
