Following the “live” pictures of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 video card, a photo appeared on the Web that shows an unusual radiator of the new 3D accelerator.
According to available data, it will be used in at least three Founders Edition design devices and is designed to tap 350 watts of thermal power.
The radiator of the reference GeForce RTX 3080 includes several sections of aluminium plates, at least four heat pipes with a diameter of ~ 8 mm and, presumably, an evaporation chamber in the base in contact with the Nvidia GA102 graphic core. This design is blown by two ~ 95 mm fans on opposite sides. The cost of the entire cooler is about $ 150.
The official presentation of the GeForce RTX 3000 series video cards, according to rumours, is scheduled for September. They will use 7-nm graphics cores based on Ampere architecture and high-speed memory GDDR6X. Note that no official details about the new products have been received yet.
