But much faster than its predecessor
A couple of days ago we learned that mobile GeForce RTX 3000 video cards would be noticeably slower than their desktop counterparts due to the reduced number of CUDA cores and the often cut bus.
What can the GeForce RTX 3070 mobile video card do? It is 17% slower than the desktop one
In particular, we assumed that the mobile RTX 3070 with its 5120 CUDA cores would be on par with the desktop RTX 3060 Ti or even weaker. And now we have the first confirmation.
The Geekbench benchmark shows that the mobile RTX 3070 Max-Q scores nearly 111,000 points, 17% less than the desktop card. This includes 7% less than the desktop RTX 3060 Ti. As a result, the result is very close to the desktop RTX 2080, and if we talk about the previous generation Nvidia mobile cards, then the RTX 2080 Max-Q remains from the new product by about 20% and the RTX 2070 Max-Q – by 30%.
It can be assumed that the regular mobile version of the RTX 3070 (Max-P) will be just about the desktop RTX 3060 Ti…
