The image confirms the mass release of A14

An image of the 5-nanometer single-chip platform Apple A14, which will be used in the iPhone 12, has appeared on the Web. More precisely, the picture shows 12 Apple A14 at once. Apparently, they were captured somewhere in the factory. This image, in fact, confirms what has already been saying a lot: mass production of a single-chip system for the iPhone 12 has already begun.

True, the issue of volumes is still open, but one can think that there will be no shortage. Especially if you believe the rumors, which say that although smartphones will debut in September, they will go on sale in early October. So Apple has plenty of time to build up the inventory it needs. In general, by the end of this year, TSMC, at the facilities of which the A14 is manufactured, should release about 80 million single-chip systems for Apple.

The second mobile 5-nanometer single-chip system is the Kirin 1020 for Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro – its volume should be 8-10 million. Moreover, the production of the Kirin 1020 will be discontinued on September 14, when US sanctions come into force, prohibiting the production of SoCs for Huawei mobile devices on equipment with American technologies. Huawei will compensate for the lack of its own SoCs with MediaTek single-chip systems. It is possible that they will register even in the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro.
