It turned out well, especially in the case of the Moskvich-2140
Ukrainian automobile designer Roman Pryadko posted on his Facebook page conceptual renders of two models of classic Soviet cars: LuAZ-969 and Moskvich-2140. It turned out both original and recognizable, and quite in the spirit of the times.
What would the Moskvich-2140 and LuAZ-969 look like if they began to be produced in 2020? Designer modernized classic Soviet cars
Such a Moskvich-2140 even has something in common with modern Ford Mustangs. It would have a Tesla-like electric powertrain, and a car with that design would definitely be a hit. It should also be noted the continuity in the design of the interior and exterior: the shape of the steering wheel, center panel, and central ventilation deflectors – all this corresponds to its predecessor, adjusted for modern ideas about how a car should look.
Such a LuAZ-969 also looks much fresher than the original – from the outside, but on the interior sketches, there is a lot in common with the Fiat 500L or 500X. True, such an interior for LuAZ-969 is a real luxury.
