Many competitors already have the self-destruct message feature, including Telegram
The team of the popular WhatsApp messenger is working on a feature that users have long been asking for – the ability to automatically delete messages.
This was told by the thematic resource WABetaInfo. In beta versions 2.20.83 and 2.20.84 of the Android application in individual chats, it became possible to enable the delete function and specify the period during which the message will be visible before the abyss. Messages can be deleted one hour, day, week, month and year after sending.
WhatsApp Comes with Self-destruct messages features soon
Previously, this feature was available only in group chats and only for administrators. Self-destructing messages already tried to run for everyone, but WhatsApp developers decided to save it only for group chats. Apparently, the plans changed again. However, it is not yet clear when self-destructing messages will appear in the stable version of WhatsApp clients. At the moment, users can manually delete messages if necessary.
