The WhatsApp team announced the launch of a new, long-awaited and highly useful feature for smartphone users, which removes one of the most troublesome and annoying features of the popular messenger. We are talking about a redesigned memory cleaning tool.

The problem is that WhatsApp regularly overflows the storage on a mobile device, unless the user regularly “cleans” it manually or using special tools. Now there is a handy built-in tool.
The function has been tested since September in beta versions of the messenger. The new tool has become available in stable versions of WhatsApp for regular users. The innovation is gradually rolling out to WhatsApp users. The Storage Management tool can be found in the Application Settings under Data and Storage.
In this section, the largest files are sorted and conveniently displayed, as well as content sent to the user several times. As a result, the user can quickly select multiple (or multiple) files and delete all of them in one go.
It also sorts files by size so you can delete the largest files first. To avoid accidental deletion, small previews of media files are provided.
