While the function is in beta testing
Soon, a very convenient feature may appear in the WhatsApp messenger that facilitates the exchange of contacts. Actually, it is already implemented in a beta version of the Android application (WhatsApp v2.20.171).
The function involves displaying a QR code near the username. Also, users can scan QR codes to quickly add a contact (by phone number) – this can be done both from the program itself and from the Gallery of the smartphone. Interestingly, users can reset and change their QR code an unlimited number of times – apparently for security reasons.
About when the innovation will be implemented in the final version of the application, nothing is reported. Let’s hope that WhatsApp will not pull with it the same way as with a dark topic.
