WhatsApp Web integrates with Messenger Rooms
The team of the popular WhatsApp messenger is preparing a large update for the web version of the client. The topic resource WABetaInfo spoke about the appearance of video conferences for a large number of participants on WhatsApp Web.
In the latest WhatsApp Web update number 2.2019.6, a new feature is not yet available. Nevertheless, the developers are preparing to launch the so-called Messenger Rooms Shortcuts. The Messenger Rooms service was launched by Facebook in late April. It allows you to make group calls with 50 participants.
Essentially, Messenger Rooms Shortcuts integrates the new Facebook service with the popular messenger. Using Messenger Rooms Shortcuts, users can launch their own group video calls and invite people directly from the WhatsApp Web.
On mobile devices, WhatsApp recently introduced support for video calls for 8 participants. Integration with Messenger Rooms will allow you to chat immediately 50 people on the computer.
