Yes, now it is possible to mute, then effectively mute, the audio of the videos before sharing them in a private conversation or in a group.
Simply press the button at the top left, visible in the images above, to choose to share the video with or without audio. And, last but not least, there is no need for any update to download because the button is enabled remotely directly from WhatsApp , so just open the application to see it appear.
