He is a longtime opponent of nuclear weapons.

The famous billionaire Warren Buffett compared artificial intelligence to the creation of an atomic bomb. He joined other famous personalities who expressed dismay at the rapid development of technology.

Speaking at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting, chairman and CEO Warren Buffett was both skeptical of AI’s ability to replace humans and acknowledged how much the technology can already do.

The technology currently has limitations, he said, such as the inability to tell really good jokes. At the same time, he added: “AI can do anything. And when something can do anything, I get worried.”

Buffett has long been a vocal opponent of nuclear weapons. He repeatedly stated that he would spend all his money to ensure that these weapons were never used if he knew how to do it. The billionaire also noted that the prospect of a new pandemic or nuclear war keeps him up at night.

Earlier, Warren Buffett said that Americans would rather give up a second car than an iPhone, even if it rises in price.
