New exclusive from Ming-Chi Kuo

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the iPhone 16 series, which will be released next year, will be updated to support Wi-Fi 7 technology.

“iPhone 16 is likely to be upgraded to Wi-Fi 7, which will facilitate the integration of Apple hardware products running on the same local network and provide a better experience with the ecosystem,” explains the analyst.

Wi-Fi 7 promises a significant increase in transfer speeds and data throughput. In fact, the Wi-Fi Alliance specifically states that the technology is intended for virtual and augmented reality devices and applications.

The next generation of AR and VR content is getting even more exciting. Wi-Fi 7 opens up a world of possibilities to explore new virtual worlds with fully interactive content. With ultra-fast speeds and imperceptible latency levels, users can immerse themselves in these worlds with realistic responsiveness and new sensor technologies that will take the experience beyond our wildest imagination.

Obviously, these changes will be implemented in order for smartphones to work better with the Apple Vision Pro headset. Earlier, the same source said that the iPhone 15 will most likely use a new version of the U1 chip .
