Considering that TSMC is one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world, there is a lot to grow. Sources expect TSCM to increase the price per wafer by 25% by the end of the year. In addition, the company allegedly canceled discounts for its largest customers, that is, apparently, for Apple and AMD at least.  

It is worth noting that the source speaks of an increase of 25%, which corresponds to $ 400. But at the same time, one plate costs more than $ 10,000. Another source believes the $ 400 is an increase in profits that TSMC will receive from each wafer. That is, we are talking about a 25% increase in profit per plate, not a 25% increase in the price of a plate. Of course, the rise in the price of the plate, in this case, will be significantly less.

Be that as it may, for electronics manufacturers, various chips will become more expensive, and noticeably. Therefore, we can expect an increase in prices for almost all key types of devices on the market.
