As a reminder, the 20H2 update will largely consist of general fixes and system stability improvements. It also activates some Windows 10 features that have already been delivered to users with previous updates but are currently disabled. For users who use Windows 10 (2004) and regularly install the latest updates, downloading and unpacking 20H2 will be very fast and will not take much time.

It’s also worth noting that KB4571756 includes several security fixes. The developers have fixed a potential privilege escalation vulnerability in windowmanagement.dll. We’ve also addressed a security issue with custom HTTP proxies so that they can no longer be used to find updates. You can now use the appropriate Windows Update policy to configure custom proxy behavior. Also, security updates will be received by frameworks, Microsoft Graphics component, Windows application platform, and others. The release of Windows 10 20H2 for insiders on the Beta channel may indicate that Microsoft is finishing preparations for the launch of a new version of the software platform, and the full-scale distribution of the update will soon begin.
