Windows 10 has a feature called Credentials Manager, which is used to store user credentials needed to log in to apps and websites. It looks like one of the recent software platform updates broke this feature.

The fact is that some users have noticed that their saved logins and passwords used for authorization on websites and applications have disappeared. It is noteworthy that when you re-enter and save the credentials, the situation does not change, since they disappear after restarting the computer.

Based on messages from users that have appeared on the Microsoft support site, the problem affects a large number of applications, including Outlook, Lastpass, Edge, Chrome, OneDrive, as well as various VPN services. At this point, Microsoft has acknowledged that there is a problem with the credentials of various VPN services since the first reports of it appeared several weeks ago. The developers are currently busy creating a fix, and soon it will be available to all users.
