Windows 10 update brought problems to users again

Last week, Microsoft released another security update as part of the Patch Tuesday program, which addresses vulnerabilities in various company products. For Windows 10, KB4579311 and KB4577671 were released, which led to all sorts of problems on users’ computers.

A few days after the security updates were released, some Windows 10 users started complaining about issues that occurred during and after installing the previously mentioned packages. This has been reported on the Microsoft support forum, the Reddit community, and other web sites. Most likely, the problem is not widespread, but at the moment it is not possible to assess its scale.

Some users have reported errors during the installation of KB4579311 and KB4577671. Previously, we managed to fix a similar problem by re-downloading and installing the problematic package, but this time this method does not work. Attempts to use the Media Creation Tool to install updates also fail.

Despite the fact that in many cases the inability to install updates does not cause problems in the operation of the operating system, because of this, the computers of some users remain vulnerable, because they do not receive security updates in a timely manner. However, there are reports of more serious difficulties. Some users reported that after installing updates, Windows 10 began to malfunction, including the freezing of Explorer, problems with printers and sound, and in some cases the appearance of blue screens of death (BSOD).
