Even though the official “end of life” of Windows XP came in April 2014, the OS “stayed afloat” for a long time, and only in December 2020 did the share of Windows XP finally fall below 1%. In August, the 19-year-old OS was installed on 1.26% of all laptops and desktops globally – on millions of computers.
