Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World has an exact release date in the West – the PC version will be released after the console

ININ Games and developer Artdink have announced the exact release date for their action-platformer Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World outside of Japan in a new press release.

Wonderboy

Recall that in the Land of the Rising Sun Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World debuted on April 22, while the western release was expected during the second quarter (that is, the period from April to June) year.

As it became known, the western version of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will be in time by the deadline: it will be released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on May 28, and the game will reach PC (Steam) on June 29.

Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will receive a retail edition on consoles on the appointed day. It will be sold in three pre-order options on the Strictly Limited Games website.

We are talking about a limited edition (€ 40), a collector’s edition (€ 100), and a mega-collection (€ 180). All three include a free copy of Wonder Boy IV, of which Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is.

The plot of Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World will remain faithful to the source: the girl Asha, along with her ashes, will have to free four spirits imprisoned by the forces of evil.

Reimagining the classics is the responsibility of the original game development team led by Ryuichi Nishizawa. They promise voice-overs for the characters, “dynamic and impressive cutscenes and animations,” and a simplified model.
