World of Warcraft player spent 5 million gold to help other users

There are virtues in many gaming communities who are willing to selflessly help other users. For example, Brent Fairchild opened a network of virtual clinics in Fallout 76 and treated all the characters. And now a visitor to the Reddit forum under the pseudonym Bearded_Bear96 noted a similar act: he spent 5 million gold in World of Warcraft to help other players as a kind of NPC.

World of Warcraft

The user talked about how he bought a very expensive but useful mount – the mighty pack brontosaurus. Thanks to him, you can access the auction and repair items without returning to the city. Now Bearded_Bear96 always summons the animal when it leaves the computer: in fact, it allows any user to run-up to the Brutosaurus, put unnecessary items for sale, and repair personal items. And this is very important because there is no auction house in the main city of the latest expansion of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. And to get to one of them, users would have to spend a lot of time.

For the brontosaurus Bearded_Bear96 gave 5 million gold. This is a very decent amount, considering the ability to buy game time in WoW for the specified currency. A monthly subscription costs 121,181 gold or € 12.99 (€ 10.99 if paid in advance). It turns out that the price of Brutosaurus was € 450-530 in real terms. However, in World of Warcraft, you cannot buy gold directly, so this is a conditional calculation.
