Worms Rumble Coming To Switch And Xbox Consoles This Year – Details Coming Soon
Publisher Team17, in the recent financial report for the 2020 calendar year, mentioned the expansion of the platform geography of the multiplayer action game Worms Rumble.
We will remind, until recently, Worms Rumble was considered a console exclusive of the PlayStation family. Apparently, the contract between Team17 and Sony Interactive Entertainment is coming to an end.
As it became known, Worms Rumble will appear on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch before the end of this year. The financial report does not contain any details of the upcoming release.
The developers of Worms Rumble in the official microblog of the franchise did not ignore the “leak” and confirmed the information leaked to the Network (apparently ahead of time).
“Looks like the worm got out of the bag! We’re excited to confirm that Worms Rumble is making its way to Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X [and S], and Xbox One this year! We will share more information very soon … ” – stated the authors.
The developers call Worms Rumble a reimagining of the cult multiplayer franchise. The game offers real-time battles and support for 32 people in one arena.
Worms Rumble debuted on December 1, 2020, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. At launch, the project became part of the monthly PlayStation Plus subscription list.
