The manufacturer focused on design, leaving the technical side of the concept model behind the scenes.

The Genesis brand, formed by Hyundai in 2015, has unveiled its fifth concept car. It’s called the X Concept EV and is clearly meant to showcase design solutions, not technological advancements.

In describing the concept, the automaker emphasizes the corporate theme of “two lines”, which is especially well traced in lighting fixtures, rear and view mirrors, and some interior elements. The manufacturer promised that adherence to this theme will become a characteristic feature of “future models”.

Other notable elements are the distinctive radiator grille, the lowered, elongated body silhouette, and the bulging fenders. The X Concept EV is similar in size to the Aston Martin DB11 and other GT coupes. Regarding the interesting turquoise color, Genesis describes it as follows: “Lençóis Blue was developed for the Genesis X Concept to express the level of sustainable luxury that Genesis is striving for.”

The interior, according to the source, can be best described as a minimalist suite using sustainable materials such as recycled leather, which is usually thrown away during the manufacturing process. It includes a Crystal Sphere gear selector and multiple displays.

There is no word yet on whether the concept will become a production model. However, according to a company spokesman, “there is nothing to say that we cannot see something like this.”
