Microsoft announced this at the Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online. The update was named World Update I: Japan. It will contain the above map enhancements for the entire country and Japanese cities, including Sendai, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Utsunomiya, and Yokohama.

In addition, the update will include manually recreated airports in Hachijoujima, Kerama, Kushiro, Nagasaki, Shimojishima, and Suvanosejima. In addition to this, players will be able to try their hand at completing three new landing challenges there.

World Update I: Japan will release on October 29th. Recall that Microsoft Flight Simulator is only available on PC so far and is included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. In the future, the game will be released on Xbox One and probably Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
