Xiaomi 12S should arrive with photographic sensors with the Leica signature
But now Xiaomi has officially announced a partnership with Leica, and together they are working on a device that will see the light of day in some time.
Xiaomi talks about a long-term strategic cooperation with Leica and revealed that they are currently developing a high-end smartphone that will be officially launched next July.
It is not the first time that we talk about a supposed Xiaomi 12S but now it has appeared in a real image, where it reveals that its photographic sensors are signed by Leica, a partnership that was officially announced by the company a few days ago.
In terms of design, this Xiaomi 12S looks like a smartphone with lines similar to other products in the Xiaomi 12 series, but the most obvious difference lies precisely in the appearance of the Leica logo on the photo module, instead of the phrase “50 MP”.
Regarding the Xiaomi 12S, and 12S Pro, we already have some indications about possible technical specifications: the first one can count on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a Full-HD+ screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a triple rear camera with a main sensor of 50MP. The Pro model would be split between the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 itself and the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 (there may be two versions) and could be equipped with a 2K display.
That’s all we know for now, and it never hurts to remember that all information comes from rumors, as none of this has been officially announced. We’ll have to wait for official information to figure out what they’re going to offer, and when they’re going to offer it.
Officially, we still don’t know which phone this will be, but it will certainly be the one we’ve been calling the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. In addition to Leica’s signature on its sensors, and with the gains that this will have, it is expected that it will come equipped with the new Qualcomm processor, which was announced a few days ago, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
