The new processor is intended to replace last year’s Snapdragon 730 and 730G chipsets in the market. It has eight cores, six of which are clocked at 1.8 GHz. The two powerful cores are clocked at 2.3 GHz. The chipset supports some of the Snapdragon Elite Gaming features such as anti-cheat protection, Vulkan 1.1 graphics driver, and True HDR. In addition, the new processor enables 4K video capture with HDR support. The chip also boasts a fourth-generation Qualcomm AI Engine neural processor, Hexagon 688 DSP signal processor, and Quick Charge 4+ support.

“The Snapdragon 732G will deliver advanced gaming, AI, and superior performance. We are delighted that the new chip will form the basis of the upcoming POCO smartphone, ”says Xiaomi.

It is assumed that the POCO X3 will receive a screen with a round hole for the front 20MP camera and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The design of the main camera block will be similar to what can be seen in the POCO F2 Pro. The resolution of the main sensor will be 64 megapixels. The new smartphone is also expected to be the first POCO device with NFC support.
