Xiaomi equips Redmi K40 smartphone with yet to be presented Snapdragon processor

The Chinese company Xiaomi, according to network sources, will announce mid-range smartphones of the Redmi K40 series by the end of this year, endowed with support for 5G mobile networks.

One of the representatives of the future family has already been seen on certification sites. The device is codenamed M2011K2C. It is alleged that the device will be based on the Qualcomm processor, which has not yet been officially presented.

We are talking about a Snapdragon 775G chip with an integrated 5G modem. According to the available data, this product will be manufactured using 6nm technology. The processor will provide support for up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and fast UFS 3.1 flash drives.

Besides the Redmi K40 model, Xiaomi is expected to announce a more powerful version of the Redmi K40 Pro. Its “heart” is supposedly the Snapdragon 875 chip, which will combine eight computing cores, the Adreno 660 graphics accelerator, and the Snapdragon X60 5G modem.

Qualcomm has scheduled its annual Tech Summit on December 1-2. It is there that the presentation of new mobile processors will take place. At the same time, smartphones of the Redmi K40 series may also debut.
