Xiaomi has come up with a smartphone that is completely covered with an infinite display
It is possible that a unique smartphone will appear in the range of Xiaomi, the entire surface of which will encircle the touch screen. The description of this device, as reported by the resource LetsGoDigital, was published on the website of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
As you can see in the renders presented, the new product is intended to use a display covering the front, side and back sides of the device. Moreover, this panel-wrapper is almost completely devoid of frames at the top and bottom.
Xiaomi proposes to equip the smartphone with a retractable camera block with three image sensors and a dual flash. This design will save the screen from cutouts and holes.
The owners will be able to use the camera for ordinary shooting and taking self-portraits. Depending on the mode, the viewfinder function will be performed by the front or rear of the display.
Among other things, it is worth highlighting the presence of asymmetrical USB Type-C port and a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. Alas, it is not yet clear when a smartphone with a similar design may appear on the commercial market.
