Xiaomi has offered a new version of the smartphone with an “all-round” display
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) website has published a description of another Xiaomi smartphone in the Mi Mix Alpha-model style. Almost the entire surface of the case consists of a display.
In the new version, the flexible screen will cover the front, sides, and back of the device. Resource LetsGoDigital published renders of the gadget based on patent illustrations: images allow you to get an idea of how the novelty might look.
As you can see, the smartphone does not have a front camera. The rear multi-module camera is located in a large notch at the top of the screen’s rear section: it combines three optical components and a flash.
Owners will be able to shoot self-portraits using the main camera, using the screen’s back as a viewfinder. Videotelephony can be carried out in the same way.
Images indicate the presence of a USB Type-C port and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Unfortunately, other details about the device were not disclosed. It is also unclear whether Xiaomi plans to bring a smartphone with a similar design to the commercial market.
