Xiaomi introduced Mijia Plumbing Blanket – a smart mattress cover with heating and sterilization functions (from mites).
The new product is available on the Xiaomi Youpin collective financing platform. Pre-orders will begin on October 18th for $55, with a suggested retail price of $68.
In addition to the mattress cover, the kit includes an external unit into which water is poured and in which it is heated. The tubes are tightly packed inside the mattress pad, particularly in the area of the legs and feet, which are most often unable to stay warm.

The power of the external unit is 400 W, and the operating noise does not exceed 25 dB. The mattress cover body has no electrical accessories and is not afraid of getting wet. Xiaomi claims that it is equipped with “eleven times protection”. You can also remove the top layer to wash it.
The device supports remote control via the Mijia app. Users can set the temperature for different stages of sleep, as well as adjust the temperature remotely.
Cleaning of bed and dust mites is carried out within 2 hours when heated to 65 °C.
