Redmi K40 and Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphones are expected to be equipped with flagship SoC
Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi in China and general manager of the Redmi brand, has already begun to stir up public interest in launching the company’s first smartphone equipped with a 5nm single-chip system.
Xiaomi is already teasing the release of the first smartphone on Snapdragon 875
On his page on the Weibo social network, he asked if they were ready for the release of new flagships based on such processors. In this regard, the Network began to build quite logical assumptions that the Redmi K40 and Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphones will be equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 875 single-chip system, which will be produced at 5 nm.
It is expected that the Snapdragon 875 will be presented in October, and the first companies to release the corresponding smartphones will be, according to the already established tradition, Xiaomi and Samsung.
Samsung has begun mass production of the Snapdragon 875 on its South Korea production line using EUV lithography. The Snapdragon 875 is expected to use the latest Cortex X1 core as well as Cortex-A78 cores. The Cortex-X1 offers 23% better integer performance than the Cortex-A78, and the Cortex-X1’s phone learning capabilities are double that of the Cortex-A78.
