Xiaomi is designing a notebook smartphone with a pair of multi-module cameras
It is possible that a smartphone with a flexible display made in the format of a book will soon appear in the range of Xiaomi. The description of the device design, as reported by the LetsGoDigital resource, is published on the website of China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).
According to the patent illustrations, Xiaomi is designing a device with a flexible screen that folds into the body. Moreover, this panel will be framed by a protruding frame, which will protect the display from damage even if the user places the device on the table “face down”.
To the right of the flexible screen is a section with a multi-module camera. It can include two image sensors and a flash. The display itself has no cutouts or holes.
On the outside of the smartphone is an auxiliary screen measuring approximately 4.6 inches diagonally. At the back is another multi-module camera consisting of three components.
The technical characteristics of the smartphone are not given in the patent documents. In general, the design of the device resembles the folding smartphone Samsung Galaxy Fold.
