The XiaomiUI resource, which regularly monitors new firmware for Xiaomi smartphones, noticed that the company has added a lot of previously released hit models to the list of EOS devices (that is, devices whose software support has been discontinued). Among them are Redmi 10X/10X 4G, Redmi 10X Pro, POCO F2 Pro, Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9, Redmi 9A and Redmi K30i 5G. XiaomiUI writes that ” what Xiaomi has done is completely wrong and unfair .” Why?

The fact is that for Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 9, the company has already released a beta version of MIUI 14, but the addition of these devices to the EOS list means that they will no longer receive any updates, and the final MIUI 14 will not be released for them. This is all the more strange considering that XiaomiUI has been able to try out the firmware and it is fast, stable and smooth. Moreover, at the time of inclusion of these models in the EOS list, the company continued to test the update.
The situation with Redmi 10X 4G (this is the Chinese version of Redmi Note 9) is approximately the same: a new beta version of MIUI 13 was released for it a couple of weeks ago, but it is clear that it will no longer be finalized.
