It is alleged that in the coming year Xiaomi will release at least four devices with a camera endowed with a 108-megapixel sensor. Two of them will be included in the Xiaomi Mi family, two more – in the Redmi series.

Apparently, the named sensor will be used in the flagship smartphones Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro, the official presentation of which is expected in early 2021. These will be some of the first devices on the market to be based on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, which debuted last week. The chip combines a powerful Cortex-X1 core, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores, as well as an Adreno 660 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X60 5G modem with data transfer rates up to 7.5Gbps.

As for the Redmi brand, it can equip the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro smartphones with a 108-megapixel camera. The oldest of these devices is also credited with the Snapdragon 888 processor.
