Xiaomi will soon introduce RedmiBook Pro 15, in which it will return the webcam

Xiaomi today shared an advertising poster for the RedmiBook Pro laptop, which is due out soon. In the image, the company announced the return of the webcam to this notebook family.

Recall that back in 2020, Xiaomi released RedmiBook 14 and RedmiBook 16 laptops, the stumbling block in which was the lack of webcams. Despite the rather low price of laptops, users did not appreciate such a solution from the company – after all, competitors have them, but here it turns out that together with the computer it was necessary to buy an external webcam separately. Of course, any external webcam in its quality will definitely be better than a built-in laptop, but this is an extra waste, and it may not always be at hand.

Xiaomi has listened to the opinions of its customers and this nuance in the new computer, the company, apparently, has corrected. Speaking of the hardware platform, GeekBench previously reported that RedmiBook Pro 15 and Pro 15S laptops will run on 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake and AMD Ryzen processors, respectively. The display resolution of the new products will be the same – 2K.

As noted by Xiaomi, the new RedmiBook Pro will use an NVMe solid-state drive for storing user data, a USB Type-C port with support for fast charging according to the Power Delivery standard, and a fingerprint scanner. The laptop case will be made of aluminum. It is expected that the presentation of computers will take place within the framework of the MWC 2021 exhibition, which will be held from 23 to 25 February in Shanghai.
