Xiaomi is working on two smartphones with a curved display and a maximum refresh of 120 Hz, according to the account known as “Digital Chat Station”, one of the most reliable leakers of the scene on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging social network. The code names of the two smartphones would be Apollo and Verthandi ; two names inspired by mythology, therefore – the first to the Greek / Roman one and the second to the Nordic one (Verdandi is one of the three Norne).
Today’s communication does not offer many other details. Crossing it with what has emerged in the past, however, one could venture that at least one of the two will finally be the Mi MIX 4. At the moment, however, we do not know if the latter will be a single model or if it will be divided into a real family, as is now the tradition for all the flagship devices. In any case, it is worth noting that on the occasion of the launch of Mi Note 10 Lite or Youth Edition, the CEO Lei Jun had said that a top of the range would arrive again relatively quickly.
The rumours about Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 chase each other just after the presentation of the 5G variant of Mi MIX 3 – more than a year ago, therefore. By now everything has been said, including that it will be a leaflet, but for the moment the mystery remains thick. In the meantime, the futuristic Mi MIX Alpha has also been announced, whose display also extends over a large part of the rear surface and on the side edges. However, it was a concept, produced in a few units more for promotional purposes than anything else.
