Xiaomi’s new weather station measures temperature and humidity every second

The Chinese company Xiaomi has announced a new gadget for the modern “smart” home – a hybrid of a desktop smart watch and a meteorological station. The device will go on sale at an estimated price of $ 20.

The novelty is equipped with a display based on electronic paper, which consumes energy only when the image is redrawn. In addition, information on such a screen is perfectly readable in bright sunlight.

The device uses a sensor from the Swiss company Sensirion AG, which is able to measure temperature and humidity every second. This data can be used to optimize the performance of other household appliances, such as a humidifier or air conditioner.

The watch supports Bluetooth wireless communication. You can interact with them using your smartphone via the accompanying MIJIA App.

The device has a backup power supply. Other functionalities include a smart alarm clock, timer and stopwatch.

Funds for the release of the novelty are planned to be raised using the Youpin crowdfunding platform. Sales of new items will begin soon.
