Xuan-Yuan Sword VII Ray Tracing Made a Special Trailer

Softstar Entertainment and NVIDIA have added ray-traced effects to their recently released action RPG Xuan-Yuan Sword VII. On this occasion, a special trailer was released showing the difference between the RTX version and the regular version.

Xuan Yuan Sword 7

Xuan-Yuan Sword VII uses ray tracing to add light refraction in water, global illumination, and reflections. Judging by the video, with such effects the game really looks much better – both indoors and outdoors.

The gameplay contains real-time battles and puzzles. A combination-based combat system offers a mix of active skills, dodges, blocks, and counterattacks. Also at the disposal of the main character is a bamboo scroll that can be used as a key to Elysium, capable of absorbing monsters, creating objects, and much more.

The first Xuan-Yuan Sword came out in 1990. The series includes thirteen games in total. Each project is dedicated to different eras in the history of China.
