Recall that the problem was that instead of a free upgrade, the PlayStation Store only offered to repurchase the game. The developers quickly recognized the problem and began to fix it.

Less than a few hours later, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s official microblogging reported that the bug had been fixed. Still, users in the comments under the post reported a new misfortune.

In particular, players complain about the inability to download the PS5 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and access the “heroic” and “legendary” editions purchased on PS4 – the store persistently offers the standard one download.

The developers have not yet commented on the new problem; however, at least some Yakuza buyers: Like a Dragon, still have the option of a free upgrade.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. With the February update, the game now has subtitles in Russian – for the first time in the history of the series.

Recall that in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, users get the role of Ichibana Kasuga – an aspiring gangster who, at the dawn of his gangster career, agreed to serve 18 years in prison for another’s a crime for the sake of his organization.
