The release of the patch is expected in mid-December (the exact date will be announced closer to the launch) of this year. Probably, the patch will first appear on the PC and then get to the console versions.

There are not many details yet: the developers promise new weapons, another type of enemies, additional skins, an alternative food option (food appearance), and another story room.

The patch also brings with it other changes that are currently undergoing internal testing. Despite this, the team is already “almost done with the preparation of a new patch

At the same time, the developers apologized for the silence – the previous content update ( Barrels o ‘Fun ) was released in August, and since then nothing has been heard from Motion Twin – and hinted at imminent announcements.

The studio admitted that it was busy training new team members and optimizing processes in connection with the second quarantine. Additionally, Motion Twin has promised to share “bigger news [about Dead Cells]” in the next couple of months.

Dead Cells is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS and Android devices. Since its initial release in August 2018, the game has sold over 3 million copies worldwide.
