YouTube ads on TV will become longer, but the number of pauses will decrease
Google has decided to once again experiment with the advertising format, and the new format will be similar to the one that is familiar on television. It’s about having one or two long commercial breaks instead of many short ones. And this television advertising format will be used specifically on televisions.
According to Google, 79% of viewers prefer video ads that are grouped together rather than spread across the entire video.
There are no details yet regarding the duration of the new format commercials and the number of such inserts per unit of video time. It is also worth repeating that this is just an experiment, and sometime in the future, if such a format takes root, it may significantly differ from what users will face now.
