Zelda-inspired Pixel RPG Adventure Ocean’s Heart Coming to PC
Developer Max Mraz and Nordcurrent have announced that their pixelated action RPG adventure Ocean’s Heart, inspired by the original The Legend of Zelda, is available on PC ( Steam and GOG ). According to a press release, Ocean’s Heart pays homage to the classics of the genre by enriching the established concepts of old RPGs with modern interpretations.
On the occasion of the release of his brainchild, Mr. Mraz said: “ Ocean’s Heart grew out of my childhood love for playing in the forest, hiking, and discovering steep ravines and ruins. It is all about exploration and satisfaction as you discover a riddle and try to understand its meaning. Such small discoveries can distract the player from the main path, suggesting many hidden areas, hints of history, new monsters, and treasures. Creating the world of Ocean’s Heart by doing the graphics, music, storytelling, and design on our own has been challenging, and I’m thrilled to let everyone else dive into this project. ”
In Ocean’s Heart, not only combat but also exploration plays a significant role. The main character Tilia went in search of her father, kidnapped by the pirate Blackbeard. She travels the world full of secrets and mysteries. The trail leads to the ruins of a flooded kingdom. In the process, you can change the future of the world or focus on your own mission. Misty forests, lonely mountain peaks, and salt swamps – each zone includes its own side quests, ancient mysteries, and dangers.
Players will have to fight various monsters, use a variety of weapons, abilities, and ancient magic to defeat or outwit opponents. The game involves the collection of various items and materials to create potions and improve a wide variety of weapons. The developer promises attention to detail and humor.
