Zombies stole the winter holiday: Dying Light kicks off the Christmas event

Studio Techland on the website of the digital distribution service Steam announced the start of a new event in its zombie action game Dying Light. The in-game event that has begun is timed to coincide with the imminent celebration of Christmas.

Christmas at Dying Light will be divided into two parts of a week: the first will end on December 28 at 21:00 Moscow time, the second on January 4, 2021 (apparently at the same time).

As part of the themed event, Dying Light users will have to chase the restless dead in order to rob them of gifts that were stolen from local children.

Obtained gifts must be brought to the storekeeper in exchange for weapons and blueprints under the tree. Players will have an improved grappling hook and snowballs – they can be thrown by the collar of zombies.

For participating in the in-game Christmas, players will receive the Cold Harvester sword, for achieving a personal goal (collect 20 gifts) – a Blademaxx machete, and for achieving a total (collect 2.5 million gifts) – a drawing of Granny’s Egg Nog.

“It’s time to put on your winter sweater, take the good eggnog baboon and save the holiday because the smiles of the kids from Harran are at stake! This Christmas you have a lot of things to do: gobies … that is, zombies steal gifts, and only you can stop them, ”reads the description of the event.

Dying Light is available on PC (Steam, GOG), PS4 and Xbox One. The game was released in January 2015, but it is still supported by the developers. The studio is currently also in the process of a sequel.
