Informed informants confirm that Apple’s first electric vehicle will not be available to end-users. The company will initially target the corporate segment. It is also confirmed that Apple’s EV is designed as a fully self-driving vehicle. Back in 2019, it became known that Apple acquired a startup Drive.ai, which is developing autonomous control systems for self-driving cars.

South Korean sources report that on February 27, Apple and KIA will sign a cooperation agreement, under which the former will invest $ 3.5 billion. This will allow Apple to manufacture its vehicles at the KIA plant in Georgia.

It is also reported that the start of production will start in 2024, with a planned volume of 100,000 vehicles per year. Later plans to increase production capacity up to 400,000 cars per year.
