Visual updates to the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS are noticeable, but they can hardly be called radical. The front part is distinguished by a large grille with four horizontal slats. Mercedes-Benz designers also drew inspiration from the updated GLE, with redesigned front air intakes and edging. In the back, new lights.

The new GLS is also now available with 20-inch Himalayas Gray multi-spoke wheels.
The Mercedes-Benz MBUX infotainment system in this model has been updated and can be customized in three different styles. The multimedia system has received a new Off-Road Mode, showing the details of the gradient, lateral tilt, compass and steering angle. Models equipped with a parking package and a surround view camera have a “clear hood” feature that shows what is under the front of the SUV. A new trailer assist system has also been added.
Mercedes-Benz has updated the Off-Road package to include underbody protection and a 30mm increase in ride height.
In Europe, the updated model will be offered as GLS 450 4Matic, GLS 580 4Matic, GLS 350d 4Matic and GLS 450d 4Matic. The entry-level model offers 381 horsepower. with 650 Nm of torque, and the GLS 450d 4Matic received a 367 hp power plant. with 750 Nm of torque. All models also get a 48-volt mild hybrid system that adds an extra 20 hp.
