The Ones That Work

  1. Tea Tree Oil

According to many dermatologists, tea tree oil is one of the best choices for zit zapping and it can be very effective in treating pimples. It is best for soothing deep inflamed pimples since it has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. You can get a 5 percent tea tree solution and dilute it with equal amount of water and apply it on the pimple by a cotton ball once or twice a day until the pimple is gone.

  1. Aspirin

Apart from its usual and well-known use, the aspirin is also good in treating whiteheads and blackheads. It is a natural form of salicylic acid and it helps in soothing inflamed skin. Thanks to its exfoliating powers it breaks down the whitehead or blackhead that’s plugging up the skin pore. In what way can you use it? Crush 2 aspirins and mix them with 2 tablespoons of water. Apply this to the pimple and wait for one or two minutes before you wash it. Note: make sure the aspirin hasn’t expired.

  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Although it hasn’t been studied on acne, many skin experts claim that apple cider vinegar can clean a zit due its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It also minimizes oil since it is astringent, and it has several acids that help in exfoliating the dead skin cells. Dilute ACV with equal parts of water and then apply it on the pimple. Leave it to stay for a minute or two. Repeat this once or twice a day until you see improvement.

  1. Green Tea

Apart from consuming it we can also use the green tea as our helper in getting rid of deep inflamed pimples. It is rich in antioxidants that help in calming acnes and fight acne-causing bacteria. After you prepare a cup of green tea you can use it in two ways: First option is to cool the teabag and directly apply it on the zit holding it for 20 minutes. Or you can just let the tea cool and then soak a washcloth or cotton ball and apply it to your face for the same amount of time.

If you apply toothpaste whenever you have a pimple on your face, you will only cause dryness and bigger irritation of the acne. The skin on your face is too sensitive to endure the concentrated cleanser which is originally meant for the toughest surface in our body, our teeth.

  1. Lemon Juice
