So far, without special details

Over the past month, we have already talked several times about Intel Rocket Lake processors. Recall that these CPUs should become the very new generation in the desktop segment that we have been waiting for.

This is the main Intel weapon against the Ryzen 4000. The first Rocket Lake-S CPU is lit up in the benchmark

Rocket Lake-S, although they retain the 14-nanometer process technology, will switch to a new architecture, both for the processor and the integrated GPU. And the latest rumors said that Rocket Lake-S could come out later this year. They will use the LGA 1200 socket, and the top models will have 10 cores at a TDP of 125 watts.

And today, one such processor first appeared in the 3DMark database. This gives us reason to hope that the announcement will really take place before the end of the year. Unfortunately, the benchmark does not provide specific details yet.

The test CPU has eight cores, supports Hyper-Threading and operates at a frequency of 1.8 GHz. Such a low frequency can be either a software error or a valid characteristic of an early engineering sample. In any case, serial desktop models will obviously work at higher frequencies.
