Apple has released developers the fourth beta of iOS 13.5, an update that integrates the exposure notification APIs that will allow government agencies to create contact tracking applications. This beta comes one week after the previous one.

In addition to the APIs, iOS 13.5 makes it easier to unlock an iPhone by entering the code when wearing a protective mask. The interface, in fact, opens more quickly when an iPhone detects that the lower part of the face is covered.
Further news regards the group FaceTime video calls where it is now possible to disable the function that automatically enlarges the panel of the person who is speaking. By default, FaceTime has a dynamic view with a box for each person with the one who speaks prominently and the others opaque in the background. With the option disabled, you can zoom in on a tile with a tap.
With the previous betas a function has also arrived that allows you to share Apple Music songs on Instagram Stories. iOS 13.5 also fixes two security vulnerabilities affecting the Mail app on iPhone and iPad. The update may also resolve a personal hotspot issue and a VPN vulnerability.
