Google Pixel 8 Series: ‘Audio Magic Eraser’ and Fresh Color Unveiled

Exciting news from the tech world as Google gears up for the launch of its much-anticipated Pixel 8 series. Building on the success of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Google’s innovative photo editing tool, the “Magic Eraser,” is now gaining further prominence. What’s even more intriguing is the possibility of a new video-centric feature called the ‘Audio Magic Eraser,’ and whispers of a fresh color variant for the vanilla Pixel 8.

Leaked by a Twitter user with the handle EZ (@EZ8622647227573), an alleged promo video has surfaced, providing a sneak peek into what the Pixel 8 series might offer. The 14-second video showcases skateboarders employing the new ‘Audio Magic Eraser’ feature, demonstrating its capability to eliminate unwanted noise from video clips. This exciting addition can be spotted among the controls within Google Photos, promising users an enhanced video editing experience.

The tagline accompanying the promo video reads, “the only phone with Audio Magic Eraser,” emphasizing Google’s commitment to delivering unique and advanced features to its Pixel handsets. The clip concludes with a tantalizing glimpse of the Pixel 8 in a captivating blue hue, hinting at a fresh color choice for users to enjoy.

For those familiar with Google’s previous offerings, the Magic Eraser feature made its debut in the Pixel 6 series last year. Designed to effortlessly remove unwanted background elements from photos, it garnered widespread attention and appreciation. The feature, initially reserved for Tensor-powered smartphones, was later expanded to non-Tensor devices, giving more users access to this powerful editing tool.

The official unveiling of the Pixel 8 series is anticipated in October of this year, marking yet another milestone in Google’s smartphone journey. The upcoming devices are expected to run on the latest Android 14 operating system and boast a smooth 120Hz refresh rate display, ensuring a seamless and vibrant user experience.

Under the hood, both Pixel 8 models are likely to be powered by the advanced Tensor G3 SoC, showcasing a significant upgrade from the previous Tensor G2 SoC featured in the Pixel 7 series and Pixel Fold. Storage options are expected to include 128GB and 256GB variants, catering to users’ diverse needs.

When it comes to battery life, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to house a robust 4,950mAh battery with 27W wired fast charging support, ensuring that you stay connected and powered throughout the day. On the other hand, the standard Pixel 8 is speculated to feature a 4,485mAh battery, complemented by 24W wired charging and a convenient 12W wireless charging option.

As the anticipation grows, the Google Pixel 8 series is poised to continue its legacy of innovation and user-centric features, giving tech enthusiasts and smartphone users plenty to look forward to. Stay tuned for more updates as the Pixel 8 series draws closer to its official debut.
